The Chair of Ukrainian Studies at the U. of Ottawa and the UCPBA of Montreal invited TARAS KUZIO to give his thoughts on the parliamentary elections that were held in Ukraine. This was held Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Faculty Club of McGill University. Dr Kuzio is a Visiting Assistant Professor of International Affairs at the Elliot School's Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies, George Washington University, in Washington D.C., an analyst in the Eurasia Daily Monitor, and frequent guest in the American and international broadcast media.
Here are his personal thoughts on what he sees tranforming in the very near future in Ukraine.

Talk about being between a rock and a hard place.
However, holding the balance of power isn't always a bad thing. Ask Jack Layton. ;-)
Anyway, let's hope Yulia backs off on the wacky Evita economics and works more co-operatively with the President (as she did when she was Yu's deputy PM). Then maybe the Orange Revolution will get back on track.
